Choose Plants That Fit a Home With Pets
Pet-safe houseplants are the best place to start when cats or dogs share your space. The plants here are selected because they are treated as non-toxic to pets in normal home settings, so they are better choices for shelves, windowsills, and rooms where curious animals roam.
Safe does not mean snack-friendly. Even non-toxic plants can upset a pet's stomach if chewed heavily, so match the plant to your pet's habits too: sturdy palms for floor spaces, hanging plants for nibblers, and compact plants for shelves your pets cannot reach.
